ABOUT
Heather Short is the Artist and Creative Director of Faux Finish By Design. Heather has been transforming plain, white walls into spectacular works of art for over 10 years. Her passion for painting started as a hobby and quickly became a business in 1999. Faux Finish By Design is based in San Diego, CA but Heather has also been known to take commissions out of state.

Heather was featured on KFMB's Channel 8 for four years (known as the "Craft Lady"). She appeared monthly with Sandra Maas and Mitch Duncan sharing her tips for antiquing, crackle painting, stencilling, glass painting and other crafts. She has done special segments on T.V. teaching children how to make their own decorative wrapping paper. Most of the creative design and faux painting is done by Heather but she also has a team of artists who work with her on larger jobs. No job is too big or too small.

INITIAL CONSULTATION
Initial consultations are always complimentary (with the exception of Paint Color Consulting). Heather will assess each project on an individual basis, always keeping the clients needs and budget in mind. You will have an opportunity to view her extensive portfolio of photographs as well as hand painted faux finish samples approx. 2'x2' in size.

SAMPLES
Once you have decided on the color scheme and type of faux finish you like, Heather will create a new 2'x2' sample for you at a nominal fee of $35.00 (per sample). This fee will be deducted from the total cost of the project should you decide to hire Heather for the job. Please note: Mural and Trompe L'oeil samples range in price from $50 up depending on complexity. The samples are yours to keep..
