PAINT COLOR CONSULTING - If you have just
purchased a new home you know how nerve racking it
can be choosing paint colors. Perhaps you are
just doing a remodel and want to add new color to
your home. Wall color is the most important
backdrop for the rest of your decorating. Heather
calls it the "first layer" of your canvas. She
even encourages her clients to paint their
ceilings. Heather's Paint Color Consulting
service will help you make all of these decisions
in a two-three hour consultation.
STENCILLING - At Faux Finish By Design,
stencils are created and hand-cut by the artists
so that they are totally unique. Heather
specializes in Damask stencilling which is a
repetetive stencil design that is done over a
ragged or colorwashed wall. The design is then
embellished with hand painted brush strokes and
aged for an old world look. |

MURALS - Everything from simple hand-painted borders
to full wall murals. Small paintings can also be reproduced
in mural size and painted either directly on the wall or
painted on canvas and transferred to a wall.
TROMPE L'OEIL - Meaning "Trick the Eye".
This type of painting is used to create a special
illusion such as a faux window or door opening out
over a Tuscan scene. Trompe L'oeil can be done on
walls and furniture.

MOSAIC TILING - Custom tiled back splashes,
table tops, chairs, vases, outdoor furniture,
etc. Any surface can be given a beautiful,
eclectic look with Heather's one-of-a-kind
creations using broken tiles and glass gems.
FURNITURE - Turn any piece of furniture into a
work of art! Heather can transform new furniture
to look old (distressed/antiqued) and old
furniture to look new with her creative touches.
Finishes include: milk painting, wood graining,
distressing, antiquing, marblizing, colorful hand
painted designs; oxidized copper, bronze, gold or
silver, lime wash, leafing, etc. Purchase
unfinished furniture from stores like Haywood's
and Heather will work her magic on it.
CHILDREN'S ROOMS - Heather can transform any
child's room or nursery into a fantasy world.
Choose any theme and she'll paint the walls,
furniture, accessories, etc. to match, or, let
Heather design a one-of-a-kind interactive mural
that can also be used as a teaching resource for
your toddler. You can spend literally thousands
of dollars buying hand painted furniture from
places like "Dream Kids" or "Bellini", or, you can
commission Heather to re-paint your existing
furniture for a fraction of the cost. The sky's
